Acceptable use and end user rules

EdgeWorks™ may enforce Schedule 2 directly at account level where reasonably necessary to protect the Services, users, data subjects, safeguarding, assessment integrity or compliance.

1. Core rules

Authorised Users must use the Services professionally, lawfully and in a manner consistent with safeguarding, equality, confidentiality and assessment integrity requirements.

Users must not share accounts or credentials, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with platform security, or upload malware or malicious code.

Users must not upload or generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, threatening, abusive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit where inappropriate, or otherwise inconsistent with a professional learning environment.

Users must not use the Services to infringe intellectual property rights, data protection rights or confidentiality obligations.

Users must not misuse AI in learning or assessment, including generating undeclared learner submissions, accepting autonomous AI assessment outcomes, or uploading learner work to unauthorised public AI tools.

Users must not use the Services in a way that endangers learners, compromises safeguarding, or undermines the validity, fairness or reliability of assessment decisions.

2. EdgeWorks™ response

EdgeWorks™ may issue guidance, require remedial action, suspend accounts, restrict access, investigate incidents, and notify the Customer, employer, awarding organisation, regulator, police or other relevant body where reasonably required.

Serious misuse may be treated as a material breach of contract, misconduct, maladministration or malpractice as applicable.
